If you notice your piece darkening or looking dirty, don’t worry! This is normal. Sterling silver tarnishes naturally over time, but the good news is that it can easily be reversed. 

 

To polish or restore your silver jewelry, use the silver polishing cloth that came with your order. Gently rub the cloth where the tarnishing has occurred. If that doesn’t work, use a soft bristle toothbrush and Dawn dish soap. 

 

To keep your jewelry from tarnishing quickly, avoid contact with makeup, lotion, perfume, etc. Tap and shower water can also contain minerals or chemicals that can speed up the tarnishing process. Additionally, avoid silver cleaner or other jewelry cleaning products, as they could remove the black coloring from your piece.
